Former "Arsenal" player arrested for drug smuggling

Former "Arsenal" player Jay Emmanuel-Thomas has been sentenced to 4 years in prison for drug smuggling.

Lent.az reports that the 34-year-old footballer was arrested in 2024. British border guards found approximately 60 kilograms of drugs in two suitcases he brought from Bangkok. The footballer pleaded guilty.

The value of the drugs is approximately £600,000 (approximately 1,381,860 manats).
