From July 28 to August 1, the European Gymnastics international training camp on trampoline gymnastics was held for the first time at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku.
Idman.biz reports that the training camp was initiated by European Gymnastics and organized by the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation.
Athletes, coaches and international experts from Italy, Czech Republic, Denmark and Sweden, along with Azerbaijan, participated in the training camp. The main goal of the training is to improve the technical and physical fitness level of the participating gymnasts, as well as to strengthen their preparation for international competitions. Training on tumbling and double mini-trampoline was also held at the training camp. Babette van Wetering, president of the technical committee for trampoline gymnastics of European Gymnastics, vice-president Luis Nunes and representatives of other countries Samuel Castro, Anette Dalsten, Sergio Lucas and Adil Huseynzade acted as experts in the trainings.
During the training camp, along with the sports-oriented part, an interesting cultural program was also organized for the participants. Gymnasts and experts who came to our country visited the sights of Baku, reflecting the history and modernity. They received detailed information about the rich history, architecture and modern development of our country.
