FIFA has announced the establishment of a new official football award that will replace "The Best" award from 2026.
Idman.Biz reports that the new award ceremony will be held in partnership with the Dubai Sports Council.
The corresponding memorandum of understanding between the parties was signed in Dubai during the World Sports Summit.
As part of the collaboration, FIFA plans to annually reward the best players, coaches, and other representatives of the football community.
The new award will be the organization's only official individual football award and will completely replace "The Best".
The first award ceremony will be held in Dubai in 2026.
It should be noted that PSG striker Usman Dembele was chosen as the last best player in "The Best".
