Atletico Madrid head coach Diego Simeone has commented on his team's defeat to Celta Vigo in the 35th round of the Spanish La Liga.
Idman.Biz reports that the game ended with a score of 1:0.
"We have returned to the concept of 'accepting the situation'. The current situation is clearly unfavorable because we had three chances and couldn't convert any of them into goals. They had Borja [Iglesias], who showed great skill and composure at the end. The boys did what they could, that's it.
When you go out on the pitch, you never want to lose. If we had been more effective, we could have won. Do you remember what a disaster it was at the beginning of the championship? Then we competed in the Champions League, in the Cup... I repeat, it's all about team management because the players make an incredible effort and we have to compete with any opponent that is available now," Marca quotes Simeone as saying.
After 35 La Liga games, Atletico Madrid has 63 points and is fourth in the standings. Celta Vigo is sixth. The team has 50 points.
