Inter head coach Cristian Chivu has responded to comments made by the club's former coach, Jose Mourinho.
Idman.Biz reports that the Portuguese coach had previously stated that none of the current Inter players could play on his team.
"Mourinho's comments? Ask him. I was lucky to play in this team. I'm sure it's impossible to compare two generations; a lot has changed in 16 years. But this Inter, like the 2010 team, brings joy to its fans, and that's the most important thing. Let's talk about this year's Scudetto and the Italian Cup final, not about numbers and polls," DAZN quotes Chivu as saying.
Under Mourinho's leadership, Inter won Serie A twice, as well as the Champions League, the Italian Cup, and the Italian Super Cup.
This season, "Inter" won the Serie A title in the 35th round. The team is currently leading the tournament table with 85 points. On May 13, the Milanese will face Lazio in the Italian Cup final.
