A suspicious signature campaign launched regarding Kilian Mbappe's future at "Real" has quickly resonated greatly in the football world. Sport24.az reports that the petition, which started on Tuesday, collected more than 19 million signatures in approximately 24 hours. In the campaign held with the call to "remove Mbappe from the club", participants claimed that the departure of the French star is important for the future of the club.
However, such a high number has been met with suspicion on social networks. Many users claimed that the signatures were not real, but were artificially increased by bots and automated systems.
On the "X" platform, a user named "Gio CR7" stated, referring to code analysis, that the number of signatures was constantly increasing, which could be inflated by a "periodic counter" mechanism. According to other claims, it was possible to vote repeatedly from the same IP in a short period of time.
It is noted that the increase in the number of signatures from 14 million to 19 million happened very quickly, which further raises questions about the credibility of the campaign.
