"Bayer" has set a new Bundesliga record for the amount of money spent on player transfers in a single transfer window.
İdman.biz reports that the Leverkusen club has spent 198 million euros on the transfer of new players. This figure is already a record in the history of the league.
The club's five most expensive transfers include: Malik Tillman and Carell Kuansa (35 million euros each), Eless Ben-Sehir (32 million euros), as well as Ignacio Fernandes and Loik Bade (25 million euros each).
The previous record belonged to "Leipzig" - 187 million euros in the 2023/24 season.
It should be noted that, despite this, "Bayer" has parted ways with head coach Erik ten Hag after 2 rounds and 1 point in the Bundesliga, ranking 12th. The 55-year-old Dutch specialist had been coaching the team since July 1.
