The management of "Atletico" intends to extend cooperation with Argentine coach Diego Simeone.
According to Lent.az, citing foreign media, Atletico president Enrique Cerezo, CEO Miguel Ángel Gil Marín, and sporting director Mateu Alemany believe that Simeone is the best choice for the team.
His current contract runs until June 2027.
Diego Simeone has been the head coach of "Atletico" since December 2011 and has won the Spanish championship twice.
After the 18th round of the current Spanish championship, "Atletico" is in third place with 37 points.
