Andrea Maldera will soon become the head coach of the Ukrainian national team. Ukrainian media reports about this, according to Sport24.az.
The Ukrainian Football Association is about to finalize negotiations with the 54-year-old Italian specialist.
This will be the first time a foreign coach will lead the country's national team.
Maldera was Andriy Shevchenko's assistant in the Ukrainian national team from 2016 to 2021. The Italian specialist then worked as one of Roberto De Zerbi's assistants at Brighton and Marseille.
It should be noted that Andrea Maldera will replace Serhiy Rebrov, who left the Ukrainian national team on April 22.
