The President of the Jordan Football Association, Ali bin Al-Hussein, has accused FIFA of blackmail.

"There are enough problems with FIFA. Let's start by explaining some of them from the perspective of the national football federation, especially the Jordanian federation, which is participating in the World Cup for the first time.
We are a small country, our federation has a minimal budget, and we have overcome major obstacles. Firstly, transporting our fans to the US: even if they had tickets, not everyone was given a visa - as we know, these tickets were also being sold at exorbitant prices.
Secondly, the US government takes taxes from us through FIFA for participation. This money should go to the players and workers. This did not happen to those playing and living in Canada and Mexico. But we are based in the US and now face significant tax payments related to our participation.
Thirdly, since December, we have been waiting for the prize money for our players for the Arab Nations Cup, a FIFA tournament to be held in Qatar. The money that our team should have received for reaching the final has not been paid yet, while FIFA boasts about having billions in reserve.
It is clear that the problem lies in the leadership. For many... FIFA has refused to help us with various issues over the months - until we were informed verbally that supporting Infantino during the World Cup would greatly benefit our federation.
In Jordan, we take pride in upholding ethical values. We did not support him before, and we will not support him now. But all this situation is equivalent to blackmail, and we refuse to give in to it," wrote Ali bin Al Hussein, the third son of the King of Jordan.
