Brazil national team coach Carlo Ancelotti has explained why striker Neymar did not participate in the 1/8 final match of the 2026 World Cup, where they lost 2-1 to Japan.
Idman.Biz reports that the match was held at the "NRG" stadium in Houston, USA.
"I was preparing Neymar's presentation in extra time. I talked to him and said that if we don't equalize, he will enter the field in the 60th minute. We equalized and I didn't want to change the lineup... The team was in control of the game," - quotes the words of AS Ancelotti.
In the 1/8 finals, Brazil will face the winner of the Côte d'Ivoire - Norway match.
