AFFA has launched "Football Education Webinars." According to the national association, the first webinar was dedicated to the topic of "Working with children and youth: Development stages" and was attended by coaches representing 11 academies.
The event, which began with the opening speech of AFFA Deputy General Secretary Elchin Mammadov, was led by coaching expert Sarkhan Huseynov. During the interactive session, participants actively participated in discussions by sharing their experiences and approaches.
After the webinar, participants were provided with an electronic reminder resource called the "Training Session Checklist," which can be used when working with different age groups.
This new initiative is implemented to address the existing needs in the football ecosystem, the challenges of clubs and academies, and to strengthen knowledge exchange and professional networking in the field of football. At the same time, this step aims to support the formation of a continuous learning environment in the field of football, the promotion of experience sharing, and the continuous professional development of specialists.
The main goal is to promote the sharing of experience on current topics, new approaches and challenges with the support of Azerbaijani football specialists living both locally and abroad in various fields, and to form a continuous platform for sharing football knowledge.
Initially, it is planned to hold webinars covering the stages of development, child psychology and safe environment topics in the direction of working with children and youth for coaches working in academies.
In the next stages, it is planned to organize webinars on scouting, talent identification, sports psychology, first aid, child protection, combating match-fixing and other topical areas, covering a wider target audience.
