AFFA has launched the "Football Education Webinars." The first webinar was dedicated to the topic of "Working with children and youth: Stages of development" and was attended by coaches representing 11 academies.
Idman.Biz reports that the event, which began with the opening speech of AFFA Deputy Secretary General Elchin Mammadov, was led by coach expert Sarkhan Huseynov. During the interactive session, participants actively engaged in discussions by sharing their experiences and approaches.
After the webinar, participants were provided with an electronic reminder resource called "Training Session Checklist," which can be used when working with different age groups.
This new initiative is being implemented to address the existing needs in the football ecosystem, the challenges of clubs and academies, and to strengthen knowledge sharing and professional networking in the field of football. At the same time, this step is aimed at creating a sustainable learning environment in the field of football, promoting the sharing of experience, and supporting the continuous professional development of specialists.
The main goal is to promote the sharing of experience on topical issues, new approaches and challenges with the support of Azerbaijani football specialists living both locally and abroad, and to form a sustainable platform for sharing football knowledge.
Initially, it is planned to hold webinars for coaches working in academies, covering topics such as developmental stages, child psychology, and a safe environment in working with children and youth.
In the next stages, it is planned to organize webinars covering a wider target audience, including scouting, talent identification, sports psychology, first aid, child protection, combating match-fixing, and other relevant areas.
