Today, a meeting of the AFFA Licensing Commission was held.
Idman.Biz reports that the documents of the clubs that applied to participate in the UEFA men's and women's club competitions, Misli Premier League, I League, II League and AFFA High Girls League in the 2026/2027 season were reviewed at the meeting.
After discussions based on Article 9 of the Rules for Licensing of Azerbaijani Football Clubs (Edition 2025), the AFFA Licensing Commission decided the following:
1. The following clubs are licensed to participate in UEFA men's club competitions:
"Araz-Nakhchivan" PFK, "Qarabağ" FK, "Gabala" SC, "Neftchi" PFK, "Sabah" FK, "Sumgayit" FK, "Shamakhi" FK, "Turan Tovuz" PFK IB, "Zira" PFK.
2. The following clubs are licensed to participate in UEFA women's club competitions:
"Neftchi" PFK, "Sumgayit" FK.
3. The following clubs are licensed to participate in Premier League competitions:
"Baku Sportinq" FK, "Difai" FK, "Imishli" PFK, "Karvan-Yevlakh" FK, "Kapaz" PFK IB, "Mingachevir" FK, "Sabail" PFK, "Shafa" FK.
4. The following clubs are licensed to participate in the I League competitions:
"Jabrayil" FK, "Dinamo" FK, "Garadagh Lokbatan FK", "Quba" FK, MOIK FK, "Shahdag Gusar" FK, "Shamkir" PFK, "Shimal" FK, "Khankendi" FK, "Zagatala" PFK.
5. The following clubs are licensed to participate in the II League competitions:
"Agstafa Gencleri" FK, "Araz Saatli" FK, "Bilasuvar" FK, "Kur Araz" FK, "Lankaran" FK, "Marafon" SC, "Ramana" FK, "Samur" FK, "Shafag" FK, "Shaki Siti" FK, "Shirvan" FK, "Zangazur" FK
6. The following clubs are not licensed to participate in the II League competitions:
"Agdash" FK, "Khazar Agjabadi" FK.
7. The following clubs are licensed to participate in the AFFA High Girls League:
"Araz-Nakhchivan" PFK, "Baku Juniors" FK, "Dirchilish" FK, "Imishli" PFK, "Gabala" SC, "Liman" UFK, "Sabah" FK, "Shafa" FK, "Umid" FK.
A license applicant applying for a UEFA license has the right to file an appeal within 10 (ten) days after receiving the decision made by the License Commission. For license applicants applying for other types of licenses, this period is 5 (five) days.
Note 1: In accordance with Article 14 of the Rules for Licensing of Azerbaijani Football Clubs (Edition 2025), a club that has received a license is automatically considered to have obtained a license to participate in competitions lower than the league in which it plays.
Note 2: "Goygol" FK, which participates in the II League competitions, as well as "Tahsil 8" FK and "Zagatala" QFK, which participate in the AFFA High Girls League competitions, refused to participate in the licensing process.
