AFFA officials discussed opportunities for joint activities during a business trip to Uzbekistan.

It was reported that the delegation included Orkhan Hasanov, advisor to the General Secretary of AFFA, Rahim Hasanov, Chairman of the Referees Committee, Bahruz Teymurov, Head of the Referees Department, and Rahim Balakishiyev, Head of the Information Technology and Digitalization Department.
They closely familiarized themselves with the local football infrastructure and the conditions created, and also held a number of meetings with local experts in various fields and exchanged ideas.
During the visit, the first vice-president of the Uzbekistan Football Association, Rovshan Irmatov, met with the Azerbaijani delegation. The expansion of cooperation between the football institutions of the two countries, exchange of experience and opportunities for joint activities in various areas of football were discussed. Particular attention was paid to the development of the refereeing system, the training of young referees and increasing their professional level.
In addition, there was an exchange of views on the digitalization of football, the application of modern IT solutions, the management of databases, and the development of children's and youth football. At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to further strengthen cooperation and implement joint projects in the future.
It should be noted that the U-20 World Championship in 2027 will be held in Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.
