FIDE has published the world ranking of chess players for July. Sport24.az reports that 8 Azerbaijani chess players are included in the "Top-100" list.
Shahriyar Mamedyarov has the best performance among male chess players. Our grandmaster is ranked 11th with 2746 points. He has advanced two places. Teymur Rajabov (2692) is ranked 38th. Rauf Mammadov (2659) is 65th, and Eltaj Safarli (2630) is 100th.
Norwegian Magnus Carlsen leads the table with 2839 points.
In the women's table, our best representative is Gunay Mammadzada (2390) in 52nd place. Ulviyya Fataliyeva (2371) is 66th, Govhar Beydullayeva (2371) is 68th, and Gulnar Mammadova (2352) is 88th.
The women's ranking table is headed by Chinese Yifan Hou – 2633 points.
