American blogger Rich Patterson has accused Khamzat Chimaev, the undefeated 31-year-old UFC middleweight champion representing the UAE, of attacking him at Dubai Airport.
According to Idman.Biz, the veteran stated that Chimaev kicked him in the chest after he asked for a picture with him.
"I’m a husband, a father, and a brother to many. The point is, no one expects to be assaulted while traveling, especially as a fan trying to approach someone to say hello whom they follow. Between 1 and 2 AM, Khamzat Chimaev assaulted me at the Dubai International Airport while returning to the USA. I was literally surrounded by him and approximately seven or eight people when he decided to shove me and kick me in the chest.
All of this was caught on surveillance cameras. No one deserves that no matter how early it is in the morning, no matter how drunk or high you are. I’m a 46-year-old US Air Force Veteran. The stories and rumors about this guy’s savage behavior are true. This guy tried to knock me out," Patterson wrote on social media.
