The 1/4 final stage of the U-23 European Boxing Championship in Budapest, the capital of Hungary, has come to an end.

According to the results of the fights, two more athletes of the Azerbaijani national team have reached the semi-finals.
Subhan Mammadov (50 kg) defeated Salvator Attrattivo (Italy) in all 3 rounds – 5:0 (30:27, 30:27, 30:27, 30:27, 30:27). He will face Luis Rooney (Ireland) in the semi-finals.
Sabuh Alizadeh (+90 kg) also finished the 1/4 final fight in his favor. The representative of the Ganja boxing school defeated Iliya Zinkovsky (Ukraine) in the second round with a full advantage. Our boxer will test Marko Perkovic (Croatia) on the way to the final.
Thus, the number of our athletes who reached the semi-finals at the European Championship has increased to 3. Earlier, Tagi Nasibov (60 kg) also won this right.
