The 1/4 final stage of the U-17 European Boxing Championship among youth boxers held in Keinbaum, Germany, has come to an end.
Idman.Biz reports that on the last day of the stage, two more members of the Azerbaijani national team qualified for the semi-finals and secured at least a bronze medal.

Gular Huseynova, competing in the 48 kg weight category, faced Italian Maria Spennato. Our boxer won the second round with complete advantage and made it to the semi-finals. Huseynova will fight against British representative Serana Mali in this stage.

Shahin Aslanov, who competed in the 60 kg, also performed successfully in the 1/4 final. He defeated Bulgarian Ivaylo Kolevi with a score of 4:1 (30:27, 30:27, 30:27, 30:27, 28:29). Aslanov will face Irishman Jason Maher in the fight for the final.
Thus, the number of our boxers who advanced to the semi-final stage has reached four. Earlier, Gardash Rahimov (46 kg) and Shukar Aliyev (75 kg) also qualified for the semi-finals and secured a bronze medal for themselves.
