"Preparations are going well."
Idman.biz reports that this was said by Azerbaijani MMA fighter Nazim Sadykhov while talking about the Absolute Fighting Championship (UFC) tournament to be held in Baku.
The 31-year-old athlete, who joined a special session via Zoom, shared his thoughts on the competition: "Every fighter can have different opinions on how ready they are. I just show my work. You will see it on June 21."
He stated that he is not currently thinking about changing weight: "I consider myself fully ready to fight in this weight and I want to fight the strongest fighters in this form."
Sadykhov emphasized that there are athletes among Azerbaijani fighters who have the potential to fight in the UFC: "Asef Chopurov is ready now. Tariyel Abbasov, Mahammadali Osmani and Ali Guliyev have the potential to fight in the UFC. They just need some time to be fully ready."
It should be noted that "UFC Fight Night" will be held on June 21 at the Baku Crystal Hall. Nazim Sadykhov will fight Brazilian Nikolas Motta.
