Two more boxers from the Azerbaijani national team have won at the "Strandja" international tournament held in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria.
"Report" reports with reference to the Azerbaijan Boxing Federation that Zidan Humbatov (55 kg) fought Jirayr Sargsyan (Armenia) in the 1/8 finals.
The boxer gave his Armenian opponent no chance and won by unanimous decision of the judges – 5:0 (29:28, 29:28, 29:28, 29:28, 29:28). He will face Ukrainian Maksim Zimenko (Ukraine) in the next match. The fight will take place on February 27.
Malik Hasanov (65 kg) started the tournament with a victory. He defeated Giacomo Giannottini (Italy). Our boxer was declared the winner in the second round because his opponent was injured – 4:0 (20:18, 19:19, 20:18, 20:18, 20:18). Hasanov will face Artur Saakyan (Armenia), who was exempt from the first stage, in the 1/8 finals on February 26.
It should be noted that the competition will end on March 1.
