British UFC heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall has revealed the severity of his condition by sharing his official medical report after suffering eye injuries in his fight against Frenchman Ciryl Gane.
Idman.Biz reports that according to the medical diagnosis, Aspinall suffered soft tissue trauma to the orbital region, damage to the trochlear mechanism of the superior oblique muscle of the eye, persistent diplopia (double vision), and a minimally displaced fracture in the medial wall of the right eye socket.
Aspinall began his professional MMA career in December 2014 and joined the UFC in 2020. He currently has 15 wins and 3 losses.
Further information regarding the length of the fighter's recovery period is expected to be announced in the coming days.
