The newly elected vice-president of the Azerbaijan MMA and Grappling Federation, Tofiq Musayev, spoke about his future plans.
The famous mixed martial arts master, in an interview with Idman.Biz, said that his new position in the federation will not affect his sports career:
"I have no intention of ending my career and becoming an official. This position will allow me to further develop MMA. Especially in the regions. Because there are many teenagers and young people in our regions who want to professionally engage in mixed martial arts," said T. Musayev.
According to him, serious changes are expected in the federation in the near future:
"Our goal is to organize more tournaments in the country - we plan to hold at least three professional and two amateur competitions during the calendar year. As vice-president, I will make every effort to ensure that these tournaments take place."
Tofiq Musayev also provided information about his sports career:
"I am going to a training camp in the USA in the coming days. I will have a fight within the UFC in early February. My opponent will be known at the beginning of next year."
