Brazilian UFC fighter Mauricio Ruffi has confessed that the spinning kick he used in the fight against Bobby Green was inspired by football legend Neymar.
İdman.Biz reports that Ruffi and Green fought at UFC 313 in March 2025. Ruffi's strike was selected as the best knockout of 2025 by ESPN.
"I call it the 'Neymar move'. I used a double move: first I threatened with a cross punch, then I threw a hand punch and finished with a spinning strike. This move was inspired by a number of Neymar's techniques," Ruffi said on "The Ariel Helwani Show" on YouTube.
Let us remind you that Mauricio Ruffi will face Azerbaijani fighter Rafael Fiziev at the UFC-325 event to be held in Sydney, Australia.
The event will take place on the night of January 31 to February 1.
