Discussions continue around the career of Usman Nurmagomedov, who holds the Professional Fighters League (PFL) lightweight (70 kg) title.
Idman.Biz reports that although his possible move to the "Ultimate Fighting Championship" is often on the agenda in the sports community, his compatriot Shamil Ramazanov touched upon a different point regarding the issue.
The athlete highly appreciated the performance demonstrated in the fight with Alfie Davis and said that the promise was fulfilled - the opponent was defeated by a chokehold. In his opinion, although the next opponent, Archie Colgan, is considered a more serious test, the result may not change.
According to Ramazanov, the main issue is elsewhere: PFL has created sufficiently good conditions for Nurmagomedov, and these conditions fully satisfy the fighter. In this case, there is no need to make drastic changes. In addition, it was emphasized that competition is stronger in the UFC lightweight division.
Ramazanov added that if his personal opinion was asked, it would be interesting to see Nurmagomedov against opponents in the top five of the UFC.
