Azerbaijani boxer Taghi Nasibov has reached the semifinals of the U-23 European Championship held in Budapest, the capital of Hungary.
Idman.Biz reports that the national team member, competing in the 60 kg weight category, was stronger than Gavin Ryan (Ireland) in the 1/4 finals.
He defeated his opponent with a score of 3:2 (28:29, 27:30, 30:27, 30:27, 30:27). By qualifying for the semifinals, Nasibov also gifted himself at least a bronze medal on his birthday.
Taghi will fight Bulgarian Radoslav Rosenov in the semifinals on November 28.
