Azerbaijani boxer Subhan Mammadov, who won a gold medal at the U-23 European Championship held in Budapest, the capital of Hungary, believes that he will repeat the same success in the adult competition.
The boxer, who is the continental champion in the 50 kg weight category, shared his impressions of the tournament.
"This was my first European Championship. Before going to the competition, I promised that I would become a champion. I kept my promise and won a gold medal. I returned home as a European champion. We have the World Championship ahead of us. I believe that I will repeat this result in the World Cup as well," he said in a statement to "Report".
It should be noted that the World Championships among adults will be held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, between December 3-13. Subhan Mammadov will enter the ring at 48 kg in this competition.
