The 1/4 final fights have started at the "Strandja" international boxing tournament in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria.
Idman.Biz reports that 2 athletes of the Azerbaijani national team have reached the semi-finals by winning this stage as well.
In the 50 kg category, Bilalhabashi Nazarov faced Rudolf Garboyan (Armenia). Our boxer defeated the Armenian European champion 4:1 (28:29, 29:28, 29:28, 29:28, 30:27) in his first international competition among adults and eliminated him from the competition. Nazarov will fight Siyovush Mukhammadiyev (Ukraine) in the semi-finals.
Malik Hasanov (65 kg) also won his next victory. He defeated Yertugan Zeynulinov (Kazakhstan) 5:0 (29:27, 28*:28, 28*:28, 28*:28, 29:27). Hasanov will face Yuri Falcao (Brazil) for a ticket to the final.
By qualifying for the semi-finals, both boxers have secured at least a bronze medal for themselves.
It should be noted that the semi-final matches in "Strandja" will be held on February 28.

It should be noted that since there are no fights for third place in boxing, boxers who reach the semi-final stage secure a bronze medal.
