Idman.Biz reports that in the main event of the night, UFC "Hall of Fame" member and former champion of the organization in the bantamweight division, Ronda Rousey, faced Gina Carano, a former contender for the Strikeforce title.
The fight ended in the 17th second. Immediately after the start of the match, Rousey made a takedown, and then successfully performed an armbar. Carano was forced to surrender, after which the referee stopped the fight.
For 39-year-old Rousey, this victory was the 13th in her professional MMA career. The American athlete won all her victories ahead of schedule. She is also a bronze medalist in judo at the 2008 Olympic Games.
43-year-old Carano had her first fight under MMA rules after August 2009. Now she has seven wins and two losses.
