The "Rising Stars" karate tournament in the traditional Fudokan karate style among children, adolescents, and young athletes was held at the Sports and Health Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Azerbaijan Karate Federation (AKF).
More than 600 child, adolescent, and young karatekas representing various clubs of the country participated in the competition.
At the solemn opening ceremony, Vice-President of the Azerbaijan Karate Federation Fuzuli Musayev spoke about the goals of the tournament and the role of karate in the physical and spiritual development of young people. People's Artist Flora Karimova also added a special touch to the ceremony with her performances.
At the end of the competition, the winners and awardees were awarded special medals and diplomas established by the Azerbaijan Karate Federation, and athletes who distinguished themselves as a team were awarded belts and cash prizes.
It should be noted that the official representative for Fudokan karate in our country is Vusal Abdullazade, assistant to the president of the AKF.
