Reports of Khamzat Chimaev's death are false: Source

Reports that 31-year-old Khamzat Chimaev, the current UFC middleweight champion (up to 84 kg) representing the UAE, died in a car accident in Chechnya are false.

İdman.Biz reports that the Chechnya Segodnya portal disseminated this information, citing its sources.

"He is in Dubai. He is doing well," the Chechnya Segodnya portal said, citing a person familiar with the situation.

Earlier, social media widely reported that Khamzat Chimaev, along with Adam Kadyrov, the son of Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov, was involved in a serious car accident in Grozny.
