Azerbaijani mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Rafael Fiziyev has lost his place in the top ten of the UFC lightweight division rankings.
Idman.Biz reports that the American promotion company UFC has announced the updated ranking list of fighters after the "UFC 325" tournament held in Sydney, Australia. In that tournament, Rafael Fiziyev lost to Brazilian Mauricio Ruffy by technical knockout in the second round.
According to the updated ranking, the Azerbaijani representative has dropped two places to 11th. Ruffy took his place in the top ten, and the Brazilian is in ninth place.
Ilia Topuria maintains the status of UFC champion in the lightweight division. Justin Gaethje, the interim champion, is in the first place in the list of candidates. It should be noted that the champion in the UFC is kept outside the ranking, and the list reflects the order of candidates for the title fight.
