The fight between former UFC middleweight title contender Paulo Costa and his compatriot Brunno Ferreira has been canceled.
According to Idman.Biz, insider Leo Guimarães reported this.
The fight was scheduled to take place on March 8 at UFC 326, a major event planned to be held in Las Vegas, USA.
According to the source, Costa's withdrawal from the competition was the reason for the cancellation. The reasons for Ferreira's decision have not been disclosed.
In an interview with Guimarães, Ferreira said he was not surprised by the news. Brunno said, "Paulo is Paulo."
In his last fight at UFC 318 in July, Costa defeated Russian Roman Kopylov by unanimous decision.
