Ukrainian professional boxer Oleksandr Usyk has named former UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov as the best fighter in MMA history.
Idman.Biz reports that the boxer mentioned Khabib Nurmagomedov's name when answering a question about MMA in an interview where the best athletes in various sports were selected.
It should be noted that Khabib Nurmagomedov had his last fight in the fall of 2020. He announced the end of his professional career after winning against American Justin Gaethje at the UFC tournament. The Russian athlete associated this decision with the promise he made to his mother after his father's death.
After ending his career, Khabib created his own MMA promotion organization, "Eagle FC."
Usyk is known for his undefeated career in professional boxing. He has competed in both cruiserweight and heavyweight and is the winner of the 2012 Olympic Games.
