Nigar Alfonso, the wife of Cuban boxer Loren Alfonso, a member of the Azerbaijan National Olympic team, has revealed their meeting story.

Their common acquaintance was a Cuban boxer, whom she had known for a long time. One day, while she was at the mall with her mother, they ran into this friend. Later, they all sat together at a restaurant, and Loren Alfonso saw Nigar for the first time there.
Nigar Alfonso noted that Loren Alfonso later began asking their mutual friend about her. This friend called Nigar a "serious girl" and said that he did not consider her suitable for a relationship, but this opinion did not hinder the boxer's interest in her. According to her, Loren Alfonso did not hide that he liked Nigar at first sight.
The statement says that despite cultural differences, Loren Alfonso took serious steps for the relationship and made great efforts to prove his feelings. He even started learning English through "YouTube" for this purpose.
"I was scared before, I didn't take risks. I didn't take foreigners seriously. But he proved his love in every way. I liked him at first sight too. We talked for a while, then we didn't, but then everything fell into place and we became a very beautiful family," said Nigar.
