Nassourdine Imavov, the French fighter of Dagestani origin ranked second in the UFC middleweight division, has discussed his fight plan with Khamzat Chimaev, the undefeated 31-year-old UFC champion in the 84 kg weight class.
Idman.Biz reports that Imavov stated he is not a natural wrestler and wins fights with striking power.
"We will focus on our strengths. People think that if you are fighting a wrestler, you only need to focus on wrestling. That would be a mistake. I am not a natural wrestler. You see that I am a striker. And I will work on my power. That's what's important. That's how I win my fights. Of course, I won't forget about wrestling. We will work a lot on takedown defense," Sherdog quoted Imavov as saying.
