Kyrgyz fighter Myktybek Orolbai achieved a great success at the "UFC Fight Night 269" tournament held in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
Idman.Biz reports that in the fight against American Chris Curtis, he broke the featherweight record by taking his opponent down 19 times (takedowns).
This result is also the third highest in UFC history across all weight classes. Currently, the legendary fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov holds the lead in this list with 21 successful takedowns (against Abel Trujillo at UFC 160). In second place is Georgian Merab Dvalishvili with 20 takedowns (against Cory Sandhagen at UFC 320).
Speaking at a press conference, Orolbai stated that his goal is the absolute record.
