The Michael Johnson vs. Alexander Hernandez fight at UFC 324 has been canceled due to suspicious betting activity. According to Sport24.az, UFC President Dana White announced at a press conference that the organization received information about suspicious elements from an agency monitoring the integrity of betting.
Following this, the UFC management decided not to hold the fight.
"We got a call and we stopped the fight. I'm not going to comment any further on this subject," White said.
This is not the first incident involving suspicious betting activity in the UFC. About three months ago, the Isaac Dulgarian vs. Yadier Del Valle fight also came to the fore for a similar reason. That fight was not canceled, but Dulgarian, who was considered a clear favorite, lost. Later, the UFC terminated his contract.
