A master class on shotokan karate-do was held for children and teenagers at the Garadagh Training and Sports Base in the Lokbatan settlement, organized by the youth and sports sector of the Baku City Youth and Sports Department for the Garadagh district.
Idman.Biz reports that Elchin Abbasov, the head of the youth and sports sector of the Baku City Youth and Sports Department for the Garadagh district, who opened the event with an introductory speech, noted that the master class was organized to increase interest in sports, especially oriental martial arts, among teenagers, to identify children who are interested in this sport, and to support the promotion of a healthy lifestyle.
More than 20 children participated in the master class. Honored coach, winner of world and European championships Namig Sadi Namazov gave useful advice to young people on how to become professional athletes and shared his experience. He not only theoretically explained the elements of striking, dodging, and defense, but also demonstrated them visually to the participants.
It should be noted that the event ended with a commemorative photo taken with the participants.
