UFC champion Islam Makhachev intends to participate in a special tournament planned for the summer of 2026.
Idman.Biz reports that the fighter emphasized that the competition could take place at the White House, saying it is a rare opportunity to go down in history.
"I told the UFC management that I will be ready soon. Of course, I want to fight in the White House because it will be a unique event and I want to go down in history," Makhachev said.
The 34-year-old athlete made his UFC debut in 2015. He became the lightweight champion in 2022 and defended his title four times. In 2025, he won the welterweight belt.
