UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev has revealed the opponent he desires for his teammate Magomed Zaynukov.
Idman.Biz reports that in an interview with Red Corner MMA, Makhachev stated that Rafael Fiziev would be an ideal choice for Zaynukov in terms of style.
According to him, this match could be interesting for fans both technically and in terms of spectacle.
Makhachev noted that a fight between Fiziev and Zaynukov does not seem realistic at the moment, but he believes that this fight will take place in the future. He emphasized that the fact that both fighters come from the Muay Thai school would make the meeting even more attractive.
The champion also noted Zaynukov's progress in wrestling. However, according to Makhachev, it is a fight with a strong striker like Fiziev that would allow Magomed Zaynukov to fully demonstrate his stand-up skills.
