Azerbaijani MMA fighter Mahammadali Osmonov has become a participant in the 34th season of the reality show "The Ultimate Fighter," one of the most popular projects of the UFC. This project is considered one of the main platforms opening the way to the strongest league in the world.
Idman.Biz reports that the new season will start on June 14 on the "Paramount+" platform. The coaches of the teams will be UFC Hall of Famers Daniel Cormier and Michael Bisping.
Within the framework of the project, fighters will compete in a tournament system, trying to win a contract with the UFC. At the same time, they will live and train together in a reality show format. The season will be held in two weight categories: up to 61.2 kg (lightweight) for men and up to 52.2 kg (minimum weight) for women. The winner in each category will be determined separately, and as a result, two fighters will receive a UFC contract.
The "The Ultimate Fighter" format has remained unchanged for years. Participants live together, train, prepare under the guidance of famous coaches, and fight according to a system in which the loser leaves the tournament. The project provides not only a sporting chance, but also the opportunity to be recognized by a wide audience and UFC matchmakers.
Among the winners of this reality show are fighters who later became champions of the organization. Among them are famous names such as Kamaru Usman and Tony Ferguson.
This participation is of particular importance for Osmonov. According to Sherdog, he competes in lightweight and has a record of 11-1 or 12-1 according to various databases. The Azerbaijani fighter has performed in UAE Warriors tournaments and is known as one of the region's promising athletes.
Based on the existing archive and the composition of previous seasons, it can be said that Mahammadali Osmonov is the first Azerbaijani fighter to participate in the history of "The Ultimate Fighter."

The performance in "The Ultimate Fighter" opens up real prospects for Osmonov. This is not only about winning a UFC contract, but also about showing himself on the global stage, working with high-level coaches, and undergoing a serious test both in sports and psychological terms.
