The "Kyokushin (Kay) Senshi Karate" style karate tournament dedicated to the memory of the Honored Coach of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the late Mirali Seyidov, has been held.
Idman.Biz reports that about 400 athletes representing different regions of the country competed in different age and weight categories.
At the opening ceremony of the tournament, the National Anthem was played, and the memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs was honored.
Speaking at the event, the president of the Azerbaijan Karate Federation, Ulvi Guliyev, said that Mirali Seyidov made significant contributions to the development of Azerbaijani karate. He emphasized that the late coach played a major role in raising young people in the spirit of patriotism.
Within the framework of the tournament, plaques and honorary certificates were presented to the family members of Mirali Seyidov, and a number of coaches and athletes were awarded.
