WBO world lightweight champion Kristian Medina will defend his title on February 6 in Guadalajara, Mexico.
Idman.Biz reports that Medina, who has a record of 26 wins, 4 losses, and 19 knockouts, will face Adrian Curiel (26-6-1, 5 KOs), who is ranked 10th.
Medina, who recently signed a contract with renowned promoter Eddie Hearn, is expected to move on to bigger matchups after this fight.
It is reported that if Medina wins the fight on February 6, he could face Jesse Rodriguez, the world champion in the light flyweight division. Rodriguez intends to move up in weight class and aims to eventually move up to super flyweight and advance to Naoya Inoue.
