Kickboxing clubs in Nakhchivan have been officially registered by the federation.
Idman.Biz reports that a meeting was held on May 5 with the heads and coaches of kickboxing clubs operating in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
The meeting aimed to strengthen coordination with the clubs, support their professional activities, and take new steps towards the development of this sport in Nakhchivan.
Speaking at the event, Taleh Ibrahimov, Head of the Department of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, provided information about the achievements, work done, and existing shortcomings in kickboxing in recent years. It was noted that cooperation with the Azerbaijan Kickboxing Federation plays a key platform role for systematic development in this direction.
The First Vice-President of the Federation, Elshan Abdulrahimov, emphasized in his speech that special attention is paid to the development of kickboxing in all regions of the country, including Nakhchivan. He noted that the activities of local clubs and the performances of athletes are constantly monitored, and the results achieved are highly appreciated. At the same time, the official registration of clubs under the federation aims to build more effective management, implement a unified approach, and strengthen support mechanisms.
During the meeting, seals and charters were presented to the clubs by the federation, and relevant certificates were presented to the coaches. Later, during discussions with the participants, it was stated that from now on Nakhchivan will be represented as a unified team in national championships and championships. Namig Musayev, who has been working in this field for many years, was elected as the head coach of the team.
At the same time, existing difficulties in the field of refereeing were also brought to attention. In this direction, an initial agreement was reached on inviting international experienced referees to Nakhchivan with the joint initiative of the ministry and the federation, and organizing seminars and "master classes".
