Khamzat Chimaev, who lost to Jon Strickland in a UFC title fight, has issued a statement. Sport24.az reports that Chimaev said he would learn from the defeat:
"I didn't live up to people's expectations. I didn't expect such an ending, but life is not just about winning. I was praised, I lost everything, and this will be a lesson for me. I have to go through the test. The belt, the glory are fleeting. But the fighter's heart, faith, and spirit remain with him forever. A true fighter is not one who never falls - a true fighter is one who gets up when everyone doubts. The wolf never stops hunting. This story is not over yet."
