Former UFC champion and current Hall of Fame member, Russian fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov shared a photo with 24-time "Grand Slam" champion, former world number one, Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic, and UFC lightweight champion, Russian Islam Makhachev.
Idman.Biz reports that Nurmagomedov and Makhachev met Djokovic at the "Globe Soccer Awards" ceremony held in Dubai, UAE. The photo in question was also taken there.
"With the best athletes in the world" - Khabib wrote under the photo he shared.
Nicknamed "The Eagle", Nurmagomedov fought his last fight on October 24, 2020, at UFC 254, which took place on Yas Island near Abu Dhabi, UAE. His opponent at the time was Justin Gaethje, the interim UFC lightweight champion. The fight ended with a submission victory for the Russian athlete in the second round. It was Nurmagomedov's 29th victory in his career.
