Khabib Nurmagomedov, the 37-year-old UFC Hall of Famer and former UFC lightweight champion, met with players from the Manchester City football club.
Idman.Biz reports that Khabib explained why he didn't let the footballers into the gym.
"I told them I wouldn't let them into the gym in pink shirts. They laughed without realizing I wasn't joking," Khabib wrote on social media, sharing a photo with the players.
It is worth remembering that Nurmagomedov's last fight was on October 24, 2020, at the UFC 254 tournament held on Yas Island near Abu Dhabi, UAE. His opponent at the time was interim UFC lightweight champion Justin Gaethje. The fight ended with the Russian athlete winning by rear-naked choke in the second round. This victory was Nurmagomedov's 29th victory in his career. After the fight, Khabib announced his retirement from mixed martial arts.
