Islam Makhachev, the 34-year-old Russian UFC lightweight champion, has expressed his desire to fight at a UFC event in the White House.
Idman.Biz reports that the event will take place on June 14, 2026.
"My next fight - it will be a big event at the White House. Maybe the first and last time. Why not put my name on that tournament?" - Makhachev said at a press conference.
Makhachev is currently on a 16-fight winning streak in the UFC. In total, he has 28 wins and one loss. The Russian athlete made his professional mixed martial arts debut in 2010. He is also the 11th two-division UFC champion in league history.
