Islam Makhachev is ready to fight Ilia Topuria

Islam Makhachev, the 34-year-old Russian UFC lightweight champion, has answered a question about facing Ilia Topuria, the Spanish-Georgian fighter who holds the promotion's featherweight title.

According to Idman.Biz, Topuria's next opponent should be Justin Gaethje, the American who defeated Paddy Pimblett by unanimous decision and won the interim lightweight title.

"I like this idea. If the UFC wants it, and I know a lot of MMA fans want this fight, I'm ready," Makhachev told Telegraf.
